United Way of Tri-County Lead Agency GYSD Projects

Gardening and Beautification
Beautification of the outside of the Riverview Ave. office, including mulching, pulling weeds, planting flowers, cleaning, etc. Tackle issues concerning the evironment and the need to beautify low income neighborhoods.
Massacusetts Avenue Park Clean-Up
Three concurrent projects will highlight this day of service on Buffalo's West Side, a low-income, distressed neighborhood. Daemen College will partner with the Massachusetts Avenue Project (MAP), Butler Mitchell Boys & Girls Club, West Side Community Services, Hope Refugee Services, PUSH, Asbury Shalom Zone, School #30, and 40-80 Jewish high school students from Hillel. Service projects will include:
-Clean-up and reviatlization of the Massachusetts Avenue Park. This Park provides a safe haven for youth to congregate and engage in athletic activities.
