Ventura Family YMCA Healthy Kids Day
On Saturday April 18th from 8:00am to 1:00pm, youth participants will attend the Healthy Kids Day event at the Ventura Family YMCA to share with the community their healthy cookbooks and family exercise activities.
They will raise awareness about healthy habits. They will also share what they learned from their research and guest speakers on healthy habits with participants at Healthy Kids Day. The event is located at the Ventura Family YMCA and we will have tables set up in high-traffic areas of our event. We will have many community partners, vendors, board members, and YMCA members at the event. The main intention of the Healthy Kids Day event is to promote healthy choices and address childhood obesity in a positive and fun atmosphere.
Day-of Information:
The Healhty Kids Day event will have many activities to promote health including exercise activities. I would recommend that you wear comfortable clothes that allow you to participate in these activities. The project that the Teens are doing will not require any specific dress or clothing. Our event will take place at the Ventura Family YMCA and the Anacapa Middle School Field located next to the YMCA parking lot.
