Hands On Northeast Ohio looks to have the most comprehensive calendar of projects available during the Global Youth Service Day 2010 event. This will include support for the local J Serve communities of youth. It also includes continuing the partnership with Cuyahoga County Youth Advisory Committee and Ohio 4-H to engage their youth. It will be the first year that the Cleveland Metropolitan School District engages their students to improve their own school locations in conjunction with GYSD. Hands On will partner with a local interfaith youth group to expand their program. Hands On will also provide tool kits to local groups and provide orientations/trainings on volunteerism and volunteer leadership. Finally, Hands On will use their best in class technology to post a vibrant calendar of external opportunities throughout Northeast Ohio that we will refer families and youth too. This will include targeted outreach to high schools with required service hours.
