West Virginia Campus Compact will work with community service directors at each of its 18 member institutions to create service opportunities in their communities. These institutions are located throughout the state of West Virginia. Clearly, then, the reach of WV Campus Compact is broad and will provide more opportunities for WV students on Global Youth Service Day than ever before. Community service directors at member institutions are well-aware of community partners in their institutions' communities and their needs. With the support of Campus Compact, community service directors will work with students to create service projects at interested community partners, based on those needs they have identified. While community service directors and students at member institutions will be leaders in determining just what shape projects will take in their communities, WV Campus Compact will be able to provide necessary support to make those projects happen, through publicity, provision of funding and supplies, and encouragement of networking.
